I bought this stapler new, and I must saw the thing is beautiful to use. I use it for framing so the thing gets a lot of use every day. The only issue I have with it is the magazine for the staples is made of plastic. I did not think it was a big deal until one of my employees let it slide off the roof we were sheating. The magazine broke cleanly in two. The rest of the stapler is very well built, but I think that the magazine should be made of some sort of metal, say magnesium or aluminum. I have owned this drill for a while. Previously I owned a couple of Dewalt cordless drills.The Hitachi looks quite garish but it has a lot of power and works very well. My only complaint, and it is serious, it that the slots in the drill, into which the clips on the battery insert to retain it, are apparently fragile. Both of mine broke off, leaving me with a drill whose battery falls out frequently. This no doubt occurred during a drop of the tool, but I have dropped my Dewalts as well and this never happened. (still is) When the batteries were in better condition I could assemble cabinets all day and sink the occasional handful of #8 3" screws when needed for installs.I picked up this micro 12v? I fab and install handrailings. I have 2 of these and pretty much all I do with them is drill 1-1/2" holes with spade style carbide bits. They lose there ooomph over time... under 1 year. I dont use them every day may be 3 times a week. I was told I can bring the ooomph back with the rebuild kit offered by Hitachi but at $60 to $70 for the kit every half a year ... it seems silly.
